Differences between Tummy Tuck and J-Plasma

What is Tummy Tuck?

Abdominoplasty, a tummy tuck, is an aesthetic surgical surgery used to enhance the physical appearance and contours of the abdomen. Excess skin and fat is eliminated from the abdomen during a tummy tuck. The stitches are typically used to tighten the fibers, or connective tissue, in the belly. Following that, the rest of the skin is moved to give the appearance of more tone. If you have weak lower abdominal wall or excess fat or skin around your belly button, you may decide to get a tummy tuck. In addition, a tummy tuck can improve your body perception.

What are the benefits of a tummy tuck?

Patient’s abdomen will appear more toned and thinner after a tummy tuck by strengthening the abdominal muscles and eliminating extra skin and fat.
Results from a tummy tuck typically last for a long time if you keep your body mass index stable.

Who is a candidate for a tummy tuck?

Clinic Wise’s board certified plastic surgeons can be advise to their patients if they are a good candidate for a tummy tuck procedure. The ideal candidate is supposed to:
Preserve general good health
Keep a steady weight
Be able to quit smoking before and after the surgery, or refrain from smoking
Not plan to become pregnant
Have acceptable expectations concerning the process
Although the outcomes of a tummy tuck are permanent, changes in weight can eventually impact the procedure’s outcome. Gaining weight is not prevented by a tummy tuck.
Do not get a tummy tuck straight away if you are working toward your goal weight. It is suggested by your plastic surgeon that you hold until your weight stabilizes.

What is J-Plasma?

With J- Plasma which is a skin tightening procedure that uses cold plasma energy, you may safely and permanently strengthen and rejuvenate your skin due to its unique combination of the energy of radiofrequency and the special qualities of cold carbon plasma.
Taking advantage of a unique combination of radio frequency and ionized helium gas, J-Plasma is a treatment that helps tighten the skin. Usually, liposuction is also performed together with J-Plasma skin tightening minimally invasive treatment that provides the skin and underlying tissues flexibility.
In addition to giving immediate more tight skin, the treatment produces neocollagenesis, or the body’s production of new collagen as a result of tissue trauma. For this reason, 6 to 9 months after starting treatment, patients report better outcomes.

What are the benefits of a J-Plasma Procedure?

Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Stimulate collagen production
Mini-invasive treatment, no scar, injury, bleeding
Immediately and long-term result
No recovery time, outpatient procedure

How is the J-Plasma Used?

A thorough assessment and treatment plan is performed before J-plasma treatment. J-plasma is performed in a single session, and then patients recover under the guidance of Clinic Wise’s highly skilled board-certified plastic surgeons after treatment.

Differences between Tummy Tuck and J-Plasma

J Plasma probes are elastic probes with weak strength; that means they are like plastic and release gas from the tip. Therefore, after liposuction, we separate the subcutaneous tissue from the underlying muscles and create a space between the subcutaneous tissue and the muscles.
In this space, we can advance this cannula, the J Plasma Probe, and when gas is released from its tip, we can release it into space.
We can take this gas out through the liposuction holes. But if no liposuction is performed, first of all, this probe will not advance under the skin because it is very dense and the probe is very weak and flexible.
Secondly, let’s say it has advanced under the skin. When we advance this probe and gas under the skin, this gas will not have a chance to come out, and the patient will swell like a balloon. Therefore, it is theoretically not possible to apply J Plasma without liposuction.
